Smartcity Málaga is a pioneering project where apply  new systems and technologies to reduce the electrical consumption involving to 300 industrial customers, 900 providers of services and 11.000 homes along a period of four years.

Smartcity Málaga pretends to achieve an optimum integration of the renewable sources of energy in the electrical network, approaching the generation to the consumption through the establishment of new models of management of micro-electrical generation.

Besides, they will manage  systems of energetic storage in batteries to facilitate his back consumption in the climatización of buildings, the lighted up public and the electrical transport. Besides it will improve  the use of electrical cars, with the installation of sticks of recarga and the implantation of a fleet of vehicles.

Smartcity Málaga has foreseen to install new intelligent counters developed in the frame of the telegestión to make possible an electrical consumption more sustainable. Besides, the installation of systems advanced of telecommunications and telecontrol will allow to act in real time and of automatic form on the network of distribution, making possible a new management of the energy and improving the quality of the service.

The zone chosen to implant Smartcity is the Maritime Walk of Málaga.

31 million euros, on the total budget of the project for the 4 years. The CDTI funds 21 millions with the Technological Bottom.
