The Atlantic Eixo do Noroeste Peninsular is a private association and non-profit organizations, composed of municipalities that make up the urban system in the Euroregion Galicia-North of Portugal.

The Atlantic Eixo Euroregion interstate determines a space whose philosophy is guided by the European Union.

This space Euroregion integrates the following cities: A Coruña, Barcelos, Braga, Bragança, Carballiño, Carballo, Chaves, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Ferrol, Guimarães, Lalin, Lamego, Lugo, Macedo de Cavaleiros, Matosinhos, Mirandela, Monforte de Lemos, Naron, O Barco de Valdeorras, Porto, Ourense, Penafiel, Peso da Régua, Pontevedra, Riveira, Santiago de Compostela, Sarria, Verin, Viana do Castelo Vigo Vila do Conde Vila Nova de Gaia, Vila Real, Arousa.

These towns claim to be the real engines of development in the regional space in which are inserted and which is characterized by the existence of certain similar socioeconomic and cultural realities.

Competence in the project
The Atlantic Eixo do Noroeste Peninsular participates in all activities under the project. It has an important role as a catalyst of municipalities, promoting their participation in the Advisory Committee for the design of digital agendas and acting as a mediator with the cities to disseminate the project results.

In this regard, it is important to work in the organization and dissemination of panel debates for the development of ADL, as well as the capitalization of results and the project's general communication, conducted under the coordination of the General Directorate of Administration Local.
