Description
The Digital Agenda for the North Region of Portugal has strengthened the role of ICT as one of the pillars to achieve the objectives of efficiency and competitiveness strategy established in North 2015
Challenges for Regional Agenda Digital Region are prioritized broadband networks and to establish and implement e-Gov both local and regional level.
Lines of action
To carry out these challenges have fixed different lines:
Broadband Networks
- Generalizing the territorial coverage of network access Broadband both in extent and quality of service capabilities.
- Promote the development of next generation networks based on optical fiber
- Define and disseminate statistics on broadband access
- Ensuring the right information from the State and Local and Regional Authorities on the implementation of networks and promote their dissemination
- Develop Plans for Broadband Networks at the sub-regional
- Shared develop telecommunication networks
- Deepen sector recruitment
- Create internal networks and broadband digital public spaces
- Combat digital exclusion and encourage the use of Internet as a factor in stimulating demand
- Supporting social networking and content creation by users
e-Gov Local and Regional
- Articulate the availability of services in the Northern Region cross projects and initiatives at national level: Citizen Card, Interoperability Platform Public Administration, Gateway electronic payment services, ...
- Strengthen organizational and technological base that sits interoperability, which leads to a Regional Platform for Interoperability.
- Promote accessibility to services for the citizen / business
- Promoting services administration-to-administration data of vertical integration through interoperability mechanisms.
- Ensure total dematerialization processes
- Encourage electronic democracy (e-democracy)
- Promote reuse of results and stimulation of good practice
- Promote systematic use of diagnostic mechanisms / evaluation
