The World Health Organization and the International Telecommunication Union has just published a report to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) four five on the reduction of maternal and child mortality by 2015. The report is the results of the first survey focused on the impact of eHealth in maternal and child health.
The consultation was conducted through the Global Observatory for eHealth and answered 64 of the 75 countries surveyed. More than 300 experts in eHealth and health of the mother and child made contributions to the report, which was supported by many colleagues in the WHO worldwide. In a joint effort, WHO and ITU then analyzed the data, and provided different conclusions:
